Letter of Thanks – Superintendent of Schools for St. Johns County
This was received from our Superintendent of Schools for St. Johns County
I was recently reflecting on the many outreach programs at Memorial Presbyterian church that serve children in the St. Johns C0unty School District and wanted to simply say thank you. It is rare to see a church with such an impressive outreach and I want you and your church to know how very grateful we are.
The Food 4 Kids program serving South Woods Elementary was initiated at Memorial and has now spread to several other churches serving various schools. Additionally, the Christmas for Kids program will ensure these underprivileged children at South Woods will have a gift to celebrate Christmas.
Your mentoring program MENTORS takes your commitment even further by meeting with these children, many of whom do not have a significant adult in their life. Lastly, your support of St. Augustine Youth Services (whose children we serve) is a true commitment to children who have experienced many challenges in their young lives.
In conclusion, I simply wanted to send a belated ‘thank you’ and to let you know your efforts are very much appreciated.
