Dining With Dignity
Memorial Presbyterian Church has been participating in the Dining With Dignity program as part of the Mission Outreach committee. We started in November of 2012 and since that time we have served on average 80 men women and children every second Monday of the month. Dining With Dignity is a program sponsored by Home Again St. Johns that feeds the needy of St. Augustine, many of which are homeless. Dining With Dignity provides a meal every night of the month in a parking lot on the corner of Bridge Street and Granada (down from Pot Bellies). Serving starts at 5:45 until 6:30 with the numbers ranging anywhere from 80 to 100 people. Various faith groups and other civic organizations pick a night of the month that is their night. MPC’s night is the second Monday of each Month. Please contact Barb Lofquist at firstname.lastname@example.org or 904-217-7086 for more information and details on how to participate.
