Ukirk is the name of our college ministry. The U is for “university” or “college.” Kirk is the Scottish name for church. At Ukirk we try to approach life from the perspective of Jeremiah 6:16, a book in the Bible. Jeremiah 6:16 says: “Thus says the Lord, ‘Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, where the good way lies; and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.'”
We meet every Wednesday (when school is in session) at 9:30 a.m. in the Flagler Student Center for coffee. We also meet on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. for Bible study on the second floor of the church fellowship hall, room 205. Following Bible study, at 5:20 p.m. college students are invited to a free dinner prepared by our church Chef.
STUDENT CENTER: 9:00 AM on Tuesdays
(when school is in session) to talk about life-stuff.
Ukirk is a lot of things: it is inspiring, funky, hilarious, and weird. It is high-energy, world-changing, tear-jerking, life-altering. It is where students can pray, ask, respond, listen, laugh, cry, wonder, and be who God made them to be. It is for Jesus freaks, skeptics, Christians, atheists, doubters, and wanderers.
