St. Johns Volunteers

On Monday, September 19, an official site dedication ceremony and reception was held for the new St. Johns Volunteers!  Center.  The Center was dedicated in memory of Olen F. Levell, Jr., a WWII veteran and beloved community volunteer. Levell served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a B-2 bomber pilot and in the reserves following the end of the war. Locally, he volunteered with the Flagler Hospital Auxiliary, the St. Johns County Council on Aging – Meals On Wheels Program, Habitat for Humanity, EMMA Concert Association, Cancer Center, Huguenot Cemetery and Memorial Presbyterian Church. Levell volunteered throughout his lifetime and until his passing earlier this year just a few months shy of his 100th birthday.

St. Johns Volunteers is a nonprofit group that works to connect volunteers with community groups.
