Made With Love – Sew and Sow

MPC’s Sew and Sow recently sent items to North Carolina to be included in a freighter shipment; destination – North Korea.  The North Korean government has given permission to Christian Friends of Korea to work within North Korea for designated projects to increase health and fight the giants of Tuberculosis and Hepatitis B through various projects i.e. medical care, pure water, increased nutrition through greenhouses, upgrades to clinics and sanatoriums, etc.  Sew and Sow was happy to recently receive, and wishes to share with our congregation, a thank you from CFK, a portion of which follows:

“Dear Charlotte, Thank you very much for your contribution of dolls, hats and scarves.  We are grateful to God for your faithfulness in prayer and support. Our team returned in early April from nearly 3 weeks in DPRK, traveling to 27 care centers to confirm the arrival and distribution of shipments, doing advance work for technical projects planned for May and early Fall, and examining patients for initiation of hepatitis B therapy planned for later this year.  During the visit, the team traveled more than 2500km to many rural areas of the country….Despite the continuing tensions, we had a very productive visit.  We are so grateful to you…for the healing, comfort and lasting change your help is bringing to the lives of many suffering people…..We give thanks for His love that you are sharing everyday with the people of the DPRK.”                                                                    Sincerely,   Heidi S. Linton, Executive Director
