From Pastor Camp – 5/16
I am overjoyed. I am in awe. I find myself continuing to marvel at God’s Providence. God’s plans are mysterious and amazing. As the Puritan and Presbyterian pastor John Flavel wrote, “Providence is wiser than you, and you may be confident it has suited all things better to your eternal good than you could do had you been left to your own option.”
Nineteen years ago I felt the first stirrings of a call to MPC. The sense of call never relented, though I often wondered how God would make this call a reality.
Over the years, I felt like Abraham and Sarah might have felt when God told them that they would have heirs abundant. But how will this happen, they wondered? I am grateful to God for our PNC’s spiritual journey and their discernment process. I am grateful to all those who prayed for our PNC—and the many people who have prayed for me, Amy, and William.
As we move forward, I see wonderful events in the life of MPC—a new chapter with historic roots. I see God using us in new and profound ways in our community—and beyond our community. I am excited about the beautiful future that we will have together.
I ask that you keep me in your prayers as we seek God’s will for our beloved MPC.
