No matter how large, the gift is tax deductible for federal and tax purposes. Weekend Parking in the MPC Lot

Although there is now an attendant at the entrance to the church parking lot on weekends, members with MPC parking permits do not have to pay. Please point out your permit on the bumper of your car. As always, the lot is open to anyone participating in an all-church event during the week or on weekends without charge.

PDS Graduates

Congratulations to our Presbyterian Day School graduates who will go on to excel as Kindergarteners in our local schools. There will be a slide show of photos from the PDS school year playing on the television in Fellowship Hall this Sunday.

Congratulations to Alecia Jones and Mark Bailey who were married at Memorial on Saturday, June 1. Mark and Alecia are regular participants in the life of our congregation, and Alecia is Margaret Ann Edmiston’s niece.

In Such a Violent World Does Jesus Call Us to Non-Violence?

The MPC Peacemaking Committee will host a study of non-violence for the first three Sundays in June (June 2, 9, and 16) right after the 10:00 o’clock worship. The study will go from 11:00-1:00. On June 2nd we will get an overview of the history of non-violence in the Old and New Testaments and Early Church History led by Dr. Tim Simpson from Jacksonville. If you haven’t heard Tim speak on this subject you are in for a real treat! The following two Sundays we will follow the Peace Discernment Process from the 2012 General Assembly. Anyone interested in exploring this topic is invited to join us.

VBS Donations Needed by 6/10

If you’re unable to volunteer as a leader for VBS but would like to be supportive and help with the ministry, please consider donating one or more of the following items: Quarts (or more) of latex paint (forest green, royal blue, ruby red, canary yellow) are needed by June 10th. Sharpies (multicolored) and Paper Towel Rolls (empty) are needed by June 17th. Thank you very much!!! Please bring donations to the church office.

Advertising your Church Event on the Café Tables is Simple

The 5 x 7 Lucite frames on the tables in the Café / Fellowship Hall are available for advertising your ministry’s church event. The gift could be a set amount, a percentage of your estate, the remainder after other gifts are made, or part of the estate left if designated heirs are deceased.
