Proctor Bible Class
Each week Dr. Bill Proctor, Flagler College Chancellor, leads an intensive Bible study in the Flagler Room adjacent to the chapel. Verse by verse, chapter by chapter the scripture is scrutinized and applied to our daily living. |
Adult Class 3
This discussion-oriented class explores a variety of topics and issues of concern. The class meets on the second floor of the Church House in room 207. Jan. 8th - 29th – Disagreeing without Being Disagreeable, Led by Ervin Bullock (former denominational peacemaking leader) and Bill Bacon. February 5– How the General Assembly develops Social Witness Policy Statements – Led by Ervin Bullock & Dorothy Dornblaser. Feb. 12 - March 4– study of "Getting to Yes" by Roger Fisher, led by Dick Rettig. March 11 – April 15 - “Encounters Before the Dawn” - A series of playlets centering around two-person encounters between biblical characters between the time of the Crucifixion of Christ and His Resurrection. The two-person dialogue by class members will be followed by scripture reflection and discussion. April 22--Discussion on the St. Augustine participation in becoming a “Compassionate Community”. Based on Karen Armstrong's “Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life. Led by Jim Vanderburg & Barbara Lofquist, members of the St. Augustine group studying this process. April 29 – May – Listening for God – Led by Robert Thomason. Discussion of short stories from the Listening for God collection.

Young Adult Class
Led by Associate Pastor, Dr. Hunter Camp, and other members, the class focuses on biblical texts and their present-day applications. The class meets on second floor—east—next to the library in the Church House (the Fellowship Hall building). |
New Member Information Class
January 15, 22, 29
This three-session class is offered during the Sunday School hour for those considering or preparing for membership in Memorial. The first session is taught by one of the pastors and focuses on our history, theology, and polity as Presbyterians. The second session is led by a variety of members of the church who share with the members-to-be information about the various ministries and mission of our congregation. New members are received during the third session and enjoy a "behind-the-scenes" tour of the church's historic facilities. Future dates for this class include: March 11, 18, 25; June 10, 17, 24; September 16, 23, 30; and November 4, 11, 18.
